Redflow Standalone System

RedFlow

Specialising in the supply, manufacture and design of packaged electricity storage systems.

RedFlow comprises two key activities:

  • ESS – Electricity Storage Systems
    Supply and installation of packaged AC and DC electricity storage systems with capacity from 10 kWh to 200 kWh based around a zinc bromine battery module (ZBM). These are plug-and-play units combining power electronics, communications and control systems in high quality enclosures suitable for utility grade electricity storage.
  • ZBM – Zinc Bromine Battery Module Manufacturing
    Manufacture of RedFlow ZBMs, which are low-cost, high performance 5 kW/10 kWh flowing electrolyte battery modules. They are the building block for the company’s products – effectively the central ‘engine factory’ for the ESS division.

RedFlow electricity storage products encompass:

  • Modular 5 kW zinc bromins batteries to provide DC current;
  • Utility grade 3-phase 415 V systems with a rating of up to 200 kW; and
  • Complete packaged household-scale hybrid power stations – these combine solar panels, electricity storage and control systems with a high-quality back up diesel generator.

Their systems are utilised for both grid-connected and off-grid electricity storage. They are ‘Smart Grid ready’, and come complete with in-built communications and control tools.

RedFlow’s customers use the electricity storage systems in a variety of applications:

  • As an electricity supply product to fully replace uneconomic rural powerlines;
  • To meet short-lived peak electricity demand at a much lower cost than traditional upgrades of the poles, wire and substation network;
  • As an enabling product for large scale solar PV generation by allowing clean solar power to be used at night;
  • To mitigate the risk of bushfires by allowing overhead electricity lines to be switched off on hot, windy fire-prone days; and
  • To provide, in the near future, reliable power for off-grid cellphone towers, reducing the cost and emissions from diesel generation sets.

RedFlow Power+BOS 300®

Delivering easy installation, reliability and proven cost savings, RedFlow’s Power+BOS® 300 is a reliable, high quality remote area power system (RAPS), comprising an integrated lead acid battery, inverter and regulator.

With costs rising for utility companies to provide reliable grid power, RedFlow’s standalone power systems are a cost effective alternative. The RedFlow Power+BOS® 300 is designed to meet varying customer loads in different geographical locations, particularly remote areas, with better reliability than grid power.

In the past decade RAPS technology has improved considerably in both quality and reliability, and RedFlow has incorporated the very best technology and engineering into a ‘plug-and-play’, independent unit, the RedFlow Power+BOS® 300.

This easily installed power system is fully engineered using the highest quality components, with plug-and-play connection to external PV panels and generators. Its modular scalability enables it to meet customer’s changing daily electricity requirements, whilst at the same time delivering significant cost savings.

RedFlow Power+BOS 600®
